30.06 Logistics and The Invisible World

Dead Slow Ahead (Mauro Herce, 2015, 74')

The Iron Ministry (J.P. Sniadecki, 2014, 82')

Labour appears embedded within engineered environments designed for uninterrupted movement. Engines, corridors, compartments and tracks become the true architecture of the present. What is revealed is a world made of passages.

01.07 Public Space and Drift

People's Park (Libbie Dina Cohn & J.P. Sniadecki, 2012, 78')

Castro (Alejo Moguillansky, 2009, 85')

In a park in Chengdu, social life unfolds through continuous passing encounters. In a city of pursuit and hesitation, movement replaces narrative resolution. Across both films, space is activated through circulation. Bodies drifting, crossing, pausing, resuming. Meaning emerges from trajectories.

02.07 Lands After Use

Our Daily Bread (Nikolaus Geyrhalter, 2005, 92')

The Challenge (Yuri Ancarani, 2016, 69')

Industrial food production and staged luxury environments reveal how contemporary life is organised through highly controlled processes of visibility and efficiency. Labour and performance circulate within enginereed spaces where production is both functional and aesthetic.

03.07 History, Plan and Reenactment

Bloody Beans (Narimane Mari, 2013, 80')

Le fort des fous (Narimane Mari, 2017, 150')

Colonial violence is refracted through children's games, gestures and improvisation. Fragments of memory and narration form a shifting terrain where colonial history remains unstable and contested. History returns as play, speech and embodied repetition.

04.07 Withdrawal and Duration

Two Years at Sea (Ben Rivers, 2011, 88')

Homo Sapiens (Nikolaus Geyrhalter, 2016, 94')

Time becomes tangible in both continuity and absence: in routines detached from productivity, and in spaces where activity has already ceased. What remains is duration itself, extended and unstructured.
